eLumen Insights API Policy

Modifications to Policy

eLumen reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify this Insights API Policy at any time. The client is responsible for reviewing and consuming any modification. Changes to the API policy will be published (when made) in key client communications regarding software releases and updates.

Acceptable Use of Insights API

  • Do not impersonate other applications
  • Respect the privacy and comply with all applicable privacy laws concerning the use of data available via APIs
  • Use the APIs in a manner consistent with scale and frequency required by the use of the data available via APIs

Availability and Limitations on Use of the Insights API

Impersonation
  • You cannot use  the Insights API to represent functionality of Insights to other institutions or products.
  • Any notices or warnings that accompany data available in the API must not be removed or obfuscated.
Privacy and Compliance
  • You will not use the APIs to violate privacy or respectful use of the data in ways not consistent with the design and configuration of eLumen Insights
  • You will not use the APIs on behalf of any third parties
  • You will not use the APIs to publish harmful or illegal content
Rate Limitations
  • eLumen reserves the right to rate limit load and frequency of use on APIs
  • If the institution using APIs regularly exceeds standard load and frequency, eLumen will notify them before throttling use of the APIs beyond standard load balancing and auto-limiting inherent in the API.

Documentation and Change Management for APIs

eLumen reserves the right to change (either by deprecating, modifying, adding, or replacing data available via APIs) at any time. We will notify you of any changes in any of our standard release notes and publish them in our knowledge base whenever they are made. Additionally, any changes due to security or privacy concerns will also be published via release notes and the eLumen Insights knowledge base.
